Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Violin Concerto in A Major

Rebecca Corruccini, violin

Sergei Rachmaninoff – Symphony No. 2

The BSO is proud to present its concertmaster and Minnesota Orchestra member Rebecca Corrucini, in a performance of the ever-elegant and varied Violin Concerto #5 of Wolfgang Amadeus. This lovely concerto is framed by a thrilling overture to Rienzi, written by a young Richard Wagner and the utterly romantic Symphony #2 of Sergei Rachmaninoff (the 3rd movement of this symphony is so ravishing, the BSO strongly suggests bringing a date to this one!). This will be an afternoon of varied pleasures to treat the ear and satisfy the musical palate of the most discerning listeners, so come along for a delightful journey of sound and melody.
