How do we make our Season Finale the stuff of dreams? By ending with the most famous dream-inspired symphony ever written, the Symphonie Fantastique of Hector Berlioz! His images are inescapable, powerful, tender, and raises goosebumps. Our prelude explores the inevitability of fate with La Forza del Destino by opera composer Giuseppe Verdi. Also featured on this concert will be the winner of this year’s MNSOTA-Mary West Solo Competition Grand Prize Winner, Nygel Witherspoon, performing the first movement of Dvorak’s Cello Concerto in B minor.
