The BSO will close the season with the magnificent Fifth Symphony of Dmitri Shostakovich which originally served as a reluctant yet left-handed apology to dictator Josef Stalin. We are also pleased to present Minnesota’s own Nygel Witherspoon in a performance of Dvorak’s Cello Concerto in B minor!

Program

Antonín Dvorák – Cello Concerto in B Minor, Op. 104

Dmitri Shostakovich – Symphony No. 5 in D minor, Op. 47
