Bloomington Symphony Receives Grants for 2016-17 Season

The Bloomington Symphony Board is pleased to announce the receipt of two major grants in support of the BSO’s 2016-17 season.

The BSO was presented with a $9,000 Cultural Arts Support Grant by the City of Bloomington, through a competitive RFP process. This granting program supports a variety of arts organizations in Bloomington and the BSO is grateful to be a recipient for 2016-17.

The Bloomington Symphony was also presented with a $10,000 grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council. This grant will go directly to support the 2016-17 concert season including all four subscription concerts and the orchestra’s appearance at the Bloomington Orchestra Festival. More information about other recipients can be found here.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
